I recently worked on a website where images were displaying in Firefox but not IE (Internet Explorer).
I did a variety of testing. I thought it might be due to the way it was referenced or the format.
It turned out it was because the image was a CMYK jpg image. IE requires it to be RGB for it to display.
To make the image display correctly in IE. Simply paste the image into Photoshop or Paint, and change the settings to RGB.
The problem definitely had me scratching my head. Another reason to forget about IE
You learn something everyday when designing websites. I have finally worked out how to display a link with the same colour font, but different underline.
The code is simple, the following displays the link in blue and underlined:
<a href=”URL”><span class=”blue”><u>Anchor Text</u></span></a>
The following code will display the link the same colour font as the paragraph, but the span controls the colour of the underline:
<span class=”blue”><u><a href=”URL”>Anchor Text</a></u></span>
This is because the span and underline is outside of the link.

I love what google are doing right now. Check out google.co.uk and they have a live stream of the lunar eclipse as it is happening as a doodle. After the recent success of the Les Paul Doodle, they are just going from strength to strength with these doodles.
As a fan of the moon and stars im particularly interested in this Lunar Eclipse and its great to watch it unfold live on Google.co.uk!
The weather here in Stockport sucks so its probably my only chance to see it!
The Curbkid website im working on has had a complete make over recently. Ive added new tabs, content, a blog and about us.
Still some distance to go but im happy with the progress so far.
